

As the student athletes of Livingston High School continue their remote learning, they have continued to train under the guidance of their spring coaches. This includes the track and field team. Each week, their coaches provide daily workouts via a text remind service. These workouts are posted in a special Google Classroom, along with motivational videos and training tips.
During the week, technique sessions are offered via Zoom sessions to help build specific skills in areas such as sprint starts, jumping skills, hurdle mobility, or just an athlete check-in. Every Friday, a team favorite “30 for 30” session is held, during which up to 40 athletes log in to Zoom for “30 for 30 at 3” to complete a 30 second strength or cardio exercise, followed by 30 seconds of rest, for 30 minutes. This is followed by special arm building and abdominal drills, all under the encouraging eyes and voices of their coaches.
